Year 7 Admissions 2026-2027

The School participates in the Local Authority co-ordinated admissions scheme. All applications for Year 7 for September 2026 should be made to Suffolk County Council within their deadlines, Further details on how to apply for a place can be found on the Suffolk County Council Website. Families from Essex  should apply through Essex Local Authority in the first instance.

All parents will be notified by Suffolk County Council on the outcome of their application on 2nd March 2026. Our  "Parents information Booklet for New Students" provides information to new parents on accepting a place at the school.

Once your child has been offered a place in Year 7 for September 2027 at East Bergholt High School and you wish to accept the offer, please complete the relevant sections within the Arbor App as soon as possible. It is vital that we have as much information as possible prior to your child starting here in September.  This will enable us to make the transition process as smooth as possible and means that you will receive our weekly newsletter and termly Bergholt Beacon.

The School is oversubscribed once again this year, so if you have been offered a place and don't require it, please contact the school (admissions@ebhigh.org.uk or 01206 298200 and local authority immediately to inform us that you wish to decline the offer.

If you were unsuccessful with your application your child will be placed on a waiting list. You can find out your child's position on the waiting list by contacting Mrs Bradford at the school (admissions@ebhigh.org.uk or 01206 298200). Children will be  placed on the waiting list according to our over subscription criteria (refer to the 2025/26 admissions policy above) Please be aware a child's position on the waiting list is not fixed, and is reviewed every time a new application is received.
